One of my sites just won an award!
Accessites.org was officially launched on Jan 6th 2006 with the express committment to prove that accessible, usable websites need not be boring by showcasing, and providing awards-recognition for, qualifying websites. As such, the Accessites team of assessors audit every submitted site against a set of 10 criteria points based upon accessibility, web standards compliancy, looks and attention to detail. Points are subtracted from a site’s overall score for every for each item that fails to meet the appropriate each checklist point. Sites that manage an appropriately high score are awarded a “Quality Universal Design Award”.
