He who laughs last probably made a back-up.

I’ve been memed!

It would seem that I’ve been blog-tagged. Thanks, Grant!

I now have to come up with 5 things that most people don’t know about me. So here goes…

Five Things You (Probably) didn’t Know About Mel Pedley

  1. Mel met her partner Rich via Usenet – alt.fan.pratchett to be exact.
  2. Mel’s youngest son, Kai, was the first child to be born to an Lspace couple and had his own lspace.org email address by the time he was 24 hours old.
  3. Mel started her working life as an assistant forensic scientist and spent two years working in a Home Office Forensic Laboratory. As a result, she can totally ruin an episode of CSI by constantly muttering “That’s not how we used to do it!”
  4. ‘Mel’ is not short for ‘Melanie’ but was adopted partly because Mel was fed up with people mangling her first name. The worst example was being referred to as ‘Rapunzel’.
  5. Mel is the (fairly non-musical) child of a highly musical family and is surrounded by uncles, aunts, cousins and sons who are either semi-professional, or professional, musicians of one sort or another. As a small child, she refused to perfom at family functions unless provided with a microphone.

Next step: Tag five other people…

Bruce Lawson, Reynaldo Mendoza, Isolani, Matthew Pennell and Joe Clark – who has almost certainly already been tagged but, if he can correct my punctuation, I figure I can tag him.

Ok, folks. You’re it!

  2. Black Widow

Imelda – although no one outside of my immediate family uses it. I can only stand so many Grizeldas, Grimeldas and Esmeraldas.

  3. Rey Mendoza,Jr.

Well, let’s hope that Kai does not go blogging yet or else there may not be just 5 things that we dont know about Mel, maybe 500 :) We all love our mothers, dont we…

  4. Thought Leadership

    Charity Tag Meme…

As a blogger, people may know you, but how good does anyone ever really know anyone? One way to get to know someone better is for them to talk about charities they support. What if bloggers were to go down a path of thinking about some of the peo ……..
