5 Needle Sock Pattern Generator

This is a printer-friendly pattern generator for plain socks, knitted "top down", on five double-pointed needles.

First, knit a 4inch by 4inch piece in stocking stitch using your chosen yarn and the needles you will be using to knit your socks. Use this piece to calculate your stitch gauge (stitches per inch).

Next, measure and record the ankle circumference (in inches) just above the ankle bone.
