A typical UK November day.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>K is still having pain. So having updated the hospital by phone, we decided that we&#8217;d try using a TENS machine on his back to see if that would help. He&#8217;s been complaining of lower back pain for a few weeks now but it never occurred to me that it could be referred pain. Doh!<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s had it on for about 5.5 hours now. Still not sure if it&#8217;s helped but we&#8217;ll try it again tomorrow morning. At least he&#8217;s not fiddling with it (in fact, I think he&#8217;s forgotten it&#8217;s there). He should also be getting a slightly different painkiller prescription &#8212; only 1 tablet instead of 3.
