The worst pain is in the hip and the ankle but the whole leg feels as if it’s a giant toothache. At its worst, I can’t bear to wear anything on my foot but a very old slipper. Not exactly the height of fashion.

I wish I knew for sure what caused these flare-ups but I suppose tiredness and stress have to be front-runners.

I’m a bit wary of the walking stick too. When I start getting tired (which happens after about 5 minutes of walking any distance at the moment), my feet tend to get tangled up with it or I miss the edge of a pavement or step. I don’t know what’s more dangerous – me with the walking stick or me with out it!

Current Mood: Sad 🙁 Maybe it’s stress-related (see yesterday) but I’ve had a lot of pain over the past few days.
