Given the increasingly cold weather and the fact that I&#8217;d recently had my hair cut quite short, I decided that a hat was in order.<\/p>\n<p>Enter the <a href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20070216101005\/http:\/\/www.folknits.yukon.net\/free-patterns_scrappy-hat.html\">Scrappy Hat<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I improvised on the original hat a little by adding a plain shaped crown worked on double-points.
