K has a part in his first major school play. The play is Beauty & the Beast and will, I assume, be a musical. <\/p>\n
He had an audition about two weeks ago (when he was apparently told that he had a beautiful voice) and found out that he’d been given a part a few days later. Rehearsals are now about to start in earnest with the play scheduled for performances in July.<\/p>\n

We’ve been told that he is playing a “merchant\/wrestler”. I’m still not sure if that means he will be playing a merchant who is also a wrestler. Or he has two parts — a merchant & a wrestler. Either way, given his size (or current lack thereof), K as a wrestler is certainly a piece of creative casting!<\/p>\n
On a related note, apart from his bout of flu, he’s now been attending school full time — without any absences due to pain or any associated problems — for 5 weeks now. Not sure if his new meds (which he started late last year) are actually having a positive effect, whether he’s just getting better at coping with the pain (he still has some stomach & back pain every day) or whether he’s just having a good spell. I guess only time will tell. Based on previous experience, I think it’s too early to get optimistic yet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
