People were describing it as &#8220;<q>gorgeous<\/q>&#8220;, &#8220;<q>addictive<\/q>&#8221; and &#8220;<q>crack silk haze<\/q>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>So I bought two skeins (shade Wicked &#8211; black) and, last week, sat down to begin work.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>What <strong>is<\/strong> all the fuss about? It&#8217;s like knitting with hairy sewing cotton! And it&#8217;s incredibly easy to drop stitches (perhaps bamboo needles would be better than steel ones?). I&#8217;m <strong>not<\/strong> impressed. The finished piece will, no doubt, be wonderfully light and cobweb-like but this is not an easy yarn to work with. For the time being, I&#8217;m limiting myself to only knitting with this yarn in the daylight when I can give it my full attention and I&#8217;m placing a light piece of linen across my lap to make it easier to spot any problems. <\/p>\n<p>I will finish it (eventually) but I very much doubt I&#8217;ll try this yarn again.
