About \u00a32.<\/p>\n<p>The yarn was some sort of cotton mix and around fingering\/sport weight, so I used two strands held together throughout.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than sewing up 8 inches to create sleeves as the pattern suggested, I found it was easier (and safer) to leave 18 inches in the centre open.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I folded the completed rectangle in half widthways, measured 9 inches from the centre to the outer edge and mark one edge with a pin. I then refolded the rectangle lengthways, lineed up the sleeve edges and sewed from the cuffs to the pin.
