K’s been ill today. <\/p>\n
He went to the optician’s yesterday and later complained that the light that had been shone into his eyes had given him a bad headache. So bad that we had to pick him up from school before lunch time.<\/p>\n
Within a few hours, he had a high temperature.<\/p>\n
An hour later, he threw up!<\/p>\n

Fortunately, that was the only ‘projectile’ episode we had to deal with but the high temperature continued until the early hours when it finally broke.<\/p>\n
Today he’s better but still not 100%. His appetite is poor (not a good sign for someone who’s normally a stomach on legs) and he started complaining about a very sore throat this evening. Bad enough to actually stop him eating completely! I’m not sure if he’ll be well enough to go back to school tomorrow,<\/p>\n
Now, is it just coincidence that both Mum and Dad have had headaches for the last 24 hours and that Mum has a mild temperature (could be due to that slight lupus flare)? Or has our Little Darling once again managed to act as Plague Carrier Central and infect us all?<\/p>\n
I guess only time will tell. In the meantime, I will muse on the evolutionary role of 6 year old children. I’m almost sure they’re some kind of ‘survival of the fittest’ population control system.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
