So bad that we had to pick him up from school before lunch time.<\/p>\n<p>Within a few hours, he had a high temperature.<\/p>\n<p>An hour later, he threw up!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, that was the only &#8216;projectile&#8217; episode we had to deal with but the high temperature continued until the early hours when it finally broke.<\/p>\n<p>Today he&#8217;s better but still not 100%. His appetite is poor (not a good sign for someone who&#8217;s normally a stomach on legs) and he started complaining about a very sore throat this evening. Bad enough to actually stop him eating completely! I&#8217;m not sure if he&#8217;ll be well enough to go back to school tomorrow,<\/p>\n<p>Now, is it just coincidence that both Mum and Dad have had headaches for the last 24 hours and that Mum has a mild temperature (could be due to that slight lupus flare)? Or has our Little Darling once again managed to act as Plague Carrier Central and infect us all?<\/p>\n<p>I guess only time will tell. In the meantime, I will muse on the evolutionary role of 6 year old children. I&#8217;m almost sure they&#8217;re some kind of &#8216;survival of the fittest&#8217; population control system.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>K&#8217;s been ill today.
