It would seem that the dog’s owner decided to have his (rather aggressive) dog destroyed in the last day or so. The second dog is to to be taken to obedience classes. Although this is apparently a much gentler animal, the owner (quite rightly, in my opinion) isn’t prepared to take any chances. Mind you, this whole awful thing could have been avoided had he trained both dogs from an early age.<\/p>\n
As it stands, there is no point in taking the case forward to the courts as the outcome of any police action would have been to deal with the dog. There is a possibility that the owner could have been fined too but I think that should wait until we decide whether we want to take civil action.<\/p>\n
