I love Noro yarns but they&#8217;re normally <strong>so<\/strong> expensive. This one was a bit unusual too. A multicolour mix of cotton and silk with a little nylon added to give it strength.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Initially I used it to to knit <a href=\"http:\/\/knitty.com\/ISSUEsummer07\/PATTaskew.html\">Askew<\/a> but the yarn was totally wrong. It didn&#8217;t have the elasticity that Askew needs. So that ended up in the frog pool while I had a rethink.<\/p>\n<p><br class=\"clear-left\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blackwidows.co.uk\/iad\/2009\/09\/yuri-mudflap-top\/yuri-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-913\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/blackwidows.co.uk\/iad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/yuri-2-150x117.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"Striped Mudflap Top Detail\" width=\"150\" height=\"117\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-913\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blackwidows.co.uk\/iad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/yuri-2-150x117.png 150w, https:\/\/blackwidows.co.uk\/iad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/yuri-2-300x235.png 300w, https:\/\/blackwidows.co.uk\/iad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/yuri-2.png 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a> Eventually I decided on a striped version of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/mud-flap-girl-tank-top\">Mud Flap Girl Tank top<\/a>. and added 150gm of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/yarns\/library\/phildar-coton-akala-n4\">Phildar Coton Akala N\u00ba4<\/a> to the mix. The latter is a lovely yarn to work with (nicer than the Yuri which is rather slubby). It&#8217;s a real pity that it&#8217;s been discontinued.<\/p>\n<p>Really pleased with the end result.
