Apart from the fact that there&#8217;s no need to work buttonholes and then try and find suitable buttons (not easy when your nearest <abbr title=\"Local Yarn Store\">LYS<\/abbr> is a 30 minute bus ride away), they&#8217;re so easy to simply &#8220;shrug&#8221; on and off.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d had my eye on a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.straw.com\/cpy\/patterns2\/kaya-aran-shrug.html\">cabled shrug pattern<\/a> for a while and finally decided to treat myself a kilo of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/yarns\/library\/patons-uk-symphony\">Paton&#8217;s Symphony<\/a> &#8211; colourway: Truffle.<\/p>\n<p>Love the finished shrug which was pretty easy to work up. Even better, Someone actually approached me whilst I was wearing it last week and asked me if I made it (I think the fact that I was sitting there knitting something else gave the game away) and went into raptures over it.
