AGO Re-hydrating Gel

  • July 10, 2014 4:49 pm

This has become my go-to gel in the mornings after damping my hair and applying a little leave-in (currently Faith in Nature’s Seaweed conditioner). It reduces frizz, re-defines curls and generally smooths my hair far better than just water and leave-in alone.

2 tablespoons aloe vera gel
1 teaspoon glycerin
½ teaspoon castor oil

Mix well and keep in a small pot. It doesn’t need to be refrigerated if you are using commercial aloe vera gel as this already contains preservatives. If you are using fresh gel, then I’d suggest making smaller amounts and only keeping it for a week or two.

I scrunch about enough to cover a 20p piece into my jaw length hair and then allow it to dry naturally.
