Knitting Abbreviations
- alt – alternate
- approx – approximately
- BO – bind off (cast off)
- CC – contrast colour
- CO – cast on
- dec – decrease
- DK – double knit (sport?)
- dpn – double pointed needle
- gms – grams
- inc – increase
- in – inches
- k – knit
- k2tog – knit two together
- kfb – knit into front and back of stitch
- ktbl – knit through back of loop
- LH – left hand
- M1 – make 1 stitch
- MC – main colour
- m – meters
- N1 – needle 1
- N2 – needle 2
- N3 – needle 3
- N4 – needle 4
- p – purl
- p2tog – purl two together
- pm – place marker
- psso – pass slipped stitch over
