Flax Seed Creams
For those of you that prefer creams to gels, you can use flax seed gel as the basis for two different creams. The first one — which is based on a recipe in the Science-y Hair Blog — I’ve used successfully. I haven’t tried making up the second yet as it’s a little more fiddly. Basically, it’s shealoe whipped with flax seed gel and a little glycerin.
FSG Cream 1
2 teaspoon flax seed gel
1 teaspoon clear hair gel
1 drop – 1 teaspoon thick conditioner
1-3 drops oil
4 drops glycerin
Just mix together and apply liberally to wet, clean, hair. Style as usual.
FSG Cream 2
3 tablespoon flax seed gel
1 teaspoon shea butter
1 teaspoon aloe vera gel
½ teaspoon oil
½ teaspoon glycerin
Soften the shea butter with the oil, add the glycerin, aloe vera & flax seed gels and whip together until light and fluffy.
Or you could whip together:
2½ teaspoon shealoe
3 tablespoon flax seed gel
½ teaspoon glycerin
Please keep in mind that all of these creams should either be used immediately or stored in the fridge for a maximum of two weeks.
