Greetings, I believe your website may be having internet browser compatibility issues.

Whenever I look at your web site in Safari, it looks fine however when opening in Internet Explorer, it’s got some overlapping issues. I merely wanted to give you a quick heads up! Aside from that, fantastic blog!

What version of IE on what operating system? I designed the theme and it’s been tested on Firefox, IE, Safari, Chrome & Opera. It also been download by others at least 3000 – 5000 times and I’ve not received any reports of issues on my support forum.

I teach middle school girls to knit. They want to learn to cable. This is THE perfect project!! They can learn to inc/dec and make a buttonhole as well as cable. Hooray!

I have been looking at the pattern and I cannot find how long this headband is suppose to be. All it says is to continue in pattern until band measures 2ins less than required.

    • Mel says:

There is no given length as everyone’s head circumference is different. For example, mine is 22 inches (big head and lots of thick curly hair), so I make these 20 inches long before starting the final decrease & buttonhole.

Can you please explain row 5 in the button hole section?
    Thank you

Thanks so much for this! My son was looking at similar headbands at stores for his girlfriend and I rolled my eyes at him 😀 He picked out this pattern and I grabbed some great yarn and we’re good to go!

Hi, I’ve attempted to start this project a few times over the past few days, I really don’t understand how you start it off? With the ribbing, I find it really complicated – if you increase every alternate row with the 10 rows, you’re only going to increase 5 sts and then it going to be one side that increases. Just wondering if you can word it differently or write out the rows for me, possibly with the button part too? I just can’t get my head around it.. Thank you x

  7. Kelly says:

I am new at knitting and I am confused about the increases too. Jess Sked you to explain, but it seems you wrote the same instructions. Capitol letters don’t make the same instructions more easily understood.

    • Mel says:

You need to work 10 rows of standard ribbing (knit 1, purl 1). On rows 2, 4, 6, 8 & 10 increase 1 stitch at the beginning and end of the row.

  8. Kelly says:

I’m very sorry but how do I do that?
