Yuri MudFlap Top
Managed to get hold of 200gms of Noro Yuki recently. I love Noro yarns but they’re normally so expensive. This one was a bit unusual too. A multicolour mix of cotton and silk with a little nylon added to give it strength.
Initially I used it to to knit Askew but the yarn was totally wrong. It didn’t have the elasticity that Askew needs. So that ended up in the frog pool while I had a rethink.
Eventually I decided on a striped version of the Mud Flap Girl Tank top. and added 150gm of Phildar Coton Akala Nº4 to the mix. The latter is a lovely yarn to work with (nicer than the Yuri which is rather slubby). It’s a real pity that it’s been discontinued.
Really pleased with the end result. Now I’ve just got to figure out what I do with 150gms of Yuri!
