What I’m Working On…
I’ve got 3 projects on the go at the moment:
Navy Blue Cabled Cardigan
Developing my own pattern for this. Currently about half-way through the first (left) side. So far, so good.
Branching Out Scarf
Like I really need another scarf! But I love this pattern. The last time I made it, I used a Kaffe Fasser cream silk/kid mohair mix. The final scarf looked wonderful but I couldn’t bear it against my skin for more than 5 minutes. So it ended up being sent to a charity shop (hey — you try frogging mohair!).
Then I came across 90gm of absolutely gorgeous ivory cotton at the bottom of my stash that I’d completely forgotten about. So I figured I’d make myself a new Branching Out scarf that I could actually wear. Plus, I’ve decided that scarves class a textile jewellery and a girl can never have enough necklaces.
Bamboo Socks
I don’t really need another pair of socks just yet but then why should that stop me? After all, one of my older pairs could wear out at any moment. Plus, this is bamboo yarn (Wendy Happy, to be exact) and I don’t have a pair of bamboo socks. And the yarn was ever so cheap and just begging to be bought on eBay. Is that enough excuses yet?
However, they are proceeding at a snail’s pace as I’m only working on them when I fancy doing some plain knitting or the film on TV is especially gripping. But then — there’s no hurry for these.
