Something, nothing and everything…

All I Can Do Is Knit

It’s not been a good day joint-wise, Started off with a bad left ankle and a rotten right knee. By afternoon, both ankles and both knees were extremely painful and I was reduced to limping around with a walking stick. But only when I absolutely had to move. You know it’s going to be a bad day when you start watching the clock and working out when you can take the next lot of painkillers.

On the plus side, it gave me lots of time to knit, so I finished off my first pair of socks made with self-patterning yarn this afternoon. And, if I say so myself, they do look rather good and they fit really well. On that basis, it’s fair to say that the online sock pattern generator has been well and truly tested. Especially since I also managed to knit K a pair of short, trainer-type, socks last weekend using a pattern printed from the same pattern generator.

Next on the agenda is a pair of pale purple thicker socks (which I’ve already started). Given that I’m unlikely to be able to spend much more time sitting at this machine with my legs down, I dare say I’ll get the first sock well on its way by the end of today.
