I’ve been meaning to write this up for ages!

When I made K a cabled jumper last year, I had enough yarn left to knit him a matching hat, so I same up with this pattern. It’s designed to fit a 20 inch head circumference.

Materials

100gm worsted/aran yarn
5mm 16 inch circular needles

Pattern

Cast on 70 stitches and join – being careful not to twist.
Next row: (k2,p2) to end – place marker.
Work (k2,p2) rib for 8-9 inches
Next round: (k2,p2tog) to marker
Next round: (k2,p1) to marker
Next round: (k2,p2tog) to marker
Next round: (k1,p1) to marker
Next round: k2tog to marker
Next round: k2tog to marker

Finishing

Cut yarn leaving about 12inches of yarn. Using a tapestry needle, thread the yarn through the remaining stitches and draw up.
