xrays

xrays was nothing if not persistent.

Account 1 was deleted when he would not take the “No – we don’t have the time to help with your plugin hack” answer.

So he opened Account 2 which was immediately blocked when he posted the same question again — this time, demanding free custom hack support. By this time, he was on a roll and opened Account 3 to — wait for it — ask the same question yet again with the same demands.

ChasAZ

ChasAZ ran up 31 posts trying to make eShop do things that it was never designed to do. He was just one of those users whose very posts led to bouts of whimpering and an intense desire to hide in the nearest corner.

Eventually his “enhancements” resulted in server errors — which he promptly blamed on eShop. When he was told that we wouldn’t help him with his hacks, a stream of abusive emails followed.

csexplorer17 simply couldn’t find his way around eShop. He was also completely unable to grasp anything despite being helped by 2 different people in over 25 posts.

But obviously, none of this was his fault, because he did manage to find his way to the WPORG support forums and post exactly the same questions there (along with some quite unnecessary comments) whilst we were still trying to help him!

We stopped trying…

What can I say about DavetheTash? Maybe it was the moustache that did it. Maybe he had a big macho thing going on? But either way, he was just downright abusive from the get-go.

Definitely one to be avoided.

JVRudnick

JV obviously had serious problems in his WordPress site setup but wouldn’t accept that this was his core problem. Instead, he just kept on demanding help from “eShop experts”. Not sure who he thought these “experts” would be if not the plugin’s developers.

Then — without any forewarning (& whilst we were still actually trying to help him) — we suddenly received a flood of abusive emails. Funnily enough, when publically asked about these emails, he denied all knowledge of them — even though they had been sent from the same email address he was using on the forum. Then even more emails followed.

And he wondered why he’d been banned from the forums?

setnaps

  • March 2, 2012 11:52 am

setnaps had one major problem. He liked to cover all the bases — again and again and again…

So for every question he asked on the forum, he sent us multiple emails demanding help. Unfortunately for him, the phrase “Stop emailing us” didn’t seem to be in his vocabulary.

Gemma Wild

Initially Gemma was fine — especially when Rich dealt with all of her support posts.

But when he became too busy to do much eShop support & I took over, her attitude changed somewhat. She finally resorted to posting personal comments on the WPORG forums in a eShop topic started by someone else.

Personally, I think she had a crush on Rich and didn’t like not getting his personal attention any more.

vwforlife

  • March 1, 2012 11:52 am

vwforlife was not only completely incapable of setting up eShop but apparently had some form of documentation blindness.

He was pointed repeatedly to the (pretty extensive) eShop wiki but even when it was pointedly suggested that he should try actually reading the wiki, his response was “Have you thought about creating a step by step instructions for your plugin?”

Argh!

Topic closed. So he started a new topic started entitled “So you censor people now?”. I’m not even sure where to begin answering that one…
