The How Many? Knitting Tool

I really dislike working things out on scraps of paper, so I’ve created a ‘how many?’ tool to do it for me.

Knitting Pattern Convertor

I released a little script I wrote the other day that converts a GMT date to a UTC timestamp. Originally I needed to convert a whole stack of GMT dates to UTC and, once I’d written a script to do it, I figured other people might find it useful, so tarted it up a little and released it as a Quirm Scriptlet.

Within a few days, someone was asking on the Quirm support forum how to convert PST times using this script.

I very nearly replied with Try a different script!

Current Mood: Pleased 🙂

OK – the random art thumbnail script is working.

I did think about developing the script into a full WordPress plugin but it’s pulling pre-generated thumbnails from the Quirm Graphic Art Gallery and would take quite a bit of work to add a GD based thumbnail generator to the current script. Perhaps I’ll look into it some other time.

For now, I’m quite happy using it ‘as is’.

Current Mood: Better 😐

I’ve actually spent some time today working on some of my own scripts. I honestly can’t recall the last time I did this. It’s been months!

I might even try adding a script to display a random piece of my own art work to the sidebar on this blog. And then…. who knows. Maybe I could do even work on some new art work for a change…
