Hospital
Cuurent Mood: Pleased 🙂
I had an appointment at the local orthopaedic unit today. I’ve been going there for about a year now because of the bad wrist which, in turn, resulted in a bout of septicaemia thanks to a steroid injection last October.
The good news is that they’ve decided that the wrist is as good as it’s going to get and that they can safely discharge me.
One less hospital appointment to remember/fit in.
Get the walking stick out!
Having managed to allow his back to heal after last weekend, R managed to hurt it again this afternoon. Or rather K did when he decided to do one of his kamikaze backward lunges whilst holding R’s hand.
So it’s back to using a walking stick, no standing for any length of time and painkillers. Fortunately, we managed to pick up a couple of collapsible walking sticks the other day so we can now do “his n’ her” matching walking sticks on occasions.
Garden Show
Mood: Pleased 😀
This weekend saw the annual local garden show with both boys entering things they’d grown.
Holidays
Why is it that holidays always result in a backlog of work?
Sure – I’ve been away for a whole 10 days but I did give everyone at least a week’s notice (if not more) and suggested that they get any work done before I went away.
But – no. I have to come back to 400 emails – many of which were work related. It’s taken me about three days just to get the oustanding mails down to a reasonable level let alone get anything done.
On Tuesday I start the real work.
