Knit 1, Purl 1…
I was bought a copy of Stitch ‘n’ Bitch for Christmas and I’ve been knee-deep in knitting projects ever since. I’ve been knitting for years but there’s nothing like a good reference book (complete with a stack of new patterns) to really get you going again.
So far I’ve started a new poncho and a new chunky sweater to replace an old one that really needs to be relegated to the nearest bin.
So much so that I’ve had to start a new Knitting category as I think that’s going to be my main posting topic for the next few months.
Scrap Wrap
Just by way of knitting something quick and easy after the ‘cardigan fiasco’, I decided to knit a Scrap Wrap.
Actually, it’s more of a scrap scarf than anything that I’d call ‘a wrap’. Had it completed in about 4 days with another few hours to fringe it. Still not decided whether it looks great or just tatty but I’m leaning towards the former. Mind you, I think I was a bit mean with the fringing, so I’ll probably add some more fringes first and then decide.
Now, where did I put that spare DVD case?
Finished The Cardigan…
…and it’s absolutely awful!
So much so that I’ve decided to rip the whole thing out, rinse the wool, rewind and start all over again knitting something else.
Oh well… that’ll teach me to try knitting something experimental.
Garden Show
Mood: Pleased 😀
This weekend saw the annual local garden show with both boys entering things they’d grown.
